I know that when the pilot for Let's Make A Deal was taped in 1963, Wendell Niles was the announcer.
Was Niles still the announcer when the show began airing on NBC? If so, when did Jay Stewart replace him?

Seems to me that Niles only did the pilot and that Jay was the announcer from Series Day One.

I know this is semi-off topic, but I know that Jay Stewart comitted suicide in 1989. Anyone here know why?

Wendell lost his job in 1964.
I know this is semi-off topic, but I know that Jay Stewart comitted suicide in 1989. Anyone here know why?
