Does anybody know if the new TPIR home game is out now?

Plus, today is my birthday! Time to party!

I got this reply from Endless Games last week:

Quote
It will be shipping to stores the 3rd week of July and should be on the shelf by the beginning of August.

If you read the forums of Golden-Road.net, the estimated arrival of the game in stores is in the signature of the creator of the game, Travis Schario(sp).  I was going to post my source, but I had to leave as I was posting my message, and forgot to post it.

Sort of bad news about the game.  Travis has told everyone on Golden-Road.net that more licensor approval holdups is bumping game shipping back to next week.  So, it'll be hopefully just another week until the game's in stores.

I went into K-Mart this week, and saw the shelf tag for it ($12.99). When I asked an associate about it, she claimed that "the game was not avaiable".  Was I being fed a load of.....?

From what I understand, K-Mart will be the primary distributor.  Some stores already have them, but are not allowed to stock or sell them until the green light from Endless.

"So I'm told"  :)

Or in K-Mart's case, the *BLUE* light....

I have a few similar K-Mart stories.
K-Mart is switching the aisles they have the board games in in my area and getting ready for new stock. I have two K-Marts in my area. One has already started the switch, and has put the new tags on the shelf (TPiR being one of them). The other K-Mart is not even close to switching stock, but they have their new tags sitting in the toy dept in a big stack. I went to the one that already has started moving things and saw the TPiR tag on the shelf ($12.99), but no games were there. I was told that is was coming soon as well as the other games that had tags but no stock (it's really an odd looking aisle right now in said K-Mart). Before I went to the one that is on the ball, I went to the one that is behind on their stock, where I secretly picked up their pad of new tags, read through them and found the TPiR tag. I put the tags down and it just so happend the manager of the toy dept. was stocking a few aisles over. I asked her if she knew when they would begin to stock the TPiR game and she told me that she has "Never heard of a Price Is Right board game and was "flabbergasted   because she was the toy manager" and "I must be mistaken". She wasn't a very nice person about it. I didn't tell her I read the tag and I just walked away laughing, knowing she'll see the tag sometime.

Now, is this thing gonna be exclusive to KMart, or will I be able to pick it up in my local We B Toyz as well?

Over on Golden-Road.net, Travis posted that the shipment to KMart would go out a week earlier than shipments to other stores.  It will be sold in other stores.

Sounds like KMart has a special arrangement with Endless, but that's just a guess.

I agree with you on that comment.  My local Wal-Mart store and Toys R' Us never had the Osmond Pyramid game but K-Mart had plenty of them in stock.  I wonder if that game will get the ax since the show did?

"Password" is still in stores, and it hasn't been on TV for 15 years.  AFAIK, Wal-Mart has never cared for the Endless line.

I agree but you don't see any set pictures or pictures of Allen Ludden & Bert Convy on the box either.  I guess if the game continues to sell they could remove the Pyramid set and Donny from the box.  Just a thought, but I really could care less one way or another.

The Kmart store in my area HAS it now!  So, it should show it at all Kmart stores any day now, I'm sure.

From the illustration on the box bottom, it looks GREAT!   I'd hate to spoil the fun for anyone, by describing the contents, but I'm sure all those who've been wanting to see it, will really like it!

Congratulations, Travis!  Job well done!

Hmm. Perhaps I will take a ride down to We "B" Toyz a little later.

Well it worked fine before (not saying anyone bought it, but it seemed to work) to use the CBS $25,000 Pyramid graphics, no reason they couldn't do the same again now.

Picked up the game today at my 'small-town' K-mart, and well, all I have to say is that it is awesome!
I too won't spoil it for anyone, but just be sure to pick it up. If it's at my K-mart, it should be everywhere.

Its well worth the money! :)

Frankly, I'm waiting for a full review. I want it spoiled. I want to know all about it so I know if I should spend the $13. And no, "you should spend the $13" is not enough of a review.

C'mon. You people can't wait to tell us when someone goofs up playing Hit Me. Tell us what this thing has in the box.

How the hell do you "spoil" a home game anyway?

I won tonights "Price is Right" game at the Matt Scott household. I was a Double Showcase winner after bidding on my Car/Hawaii/Living Room showcase. My bid of $27,433 was only off by $131.

Jake the cat bid $33,500 on his "Main Street" showcase. He overbid by a longshot!

My total winnings, including a narrow loss on the "Lucky Seven" game : $43,742.

Yay me!

That's how you spoil a home game win.
