WHOA! Great stuff! Too bad there in a shockwave type of format though, but still a HUGE find.

Here is a much better Hot Potato logo than in the above link
-
It was working well for a minute, but I think the folks running the site may have been wise to us, because now that link just leads to the front page.

Disregard. I eventually got to the site.
-
Hmm...link works for me....
-
I got through on the first link, which is a good thing because when I'm in the mood for large high-quality logos, I will not rest until I get them. The logo for \"Hollywood Connection\" wasn't anything like I remembered, though.
-
Just keep refreshing when you get the main page you'll get it eventually
-
OK, I just got there. BTW, thanks for posting the link, SimpsonGeek! :-)
-
SimpsonGeek, how did you find this?
-
I found them while going through GSN's image directory, I also found many other interesting things on there including pictures of Bob Barker.
-
Is that \"Fantasy\" logo the same as the one used on the show? It's hideous!

Yeah, that was about it. The colors were different, though...muted pastels that actually fit in very well with the lighthearted spirit of the show.
\"Fantasy\" takes a lot of crap, but it really wasn't all THAT bad.
-
What is 55.swf supposed to be? It looks like a unicorn on a coat of arms, but it's so blurry I can't make it out.

The \"Who Dares Wins\" logo.

Yah--I guess it's all that pink that kills it for me. Looks like it came out of Aladdin's lamp or something. I bet the real thing looked a heck of a lot better.
-
SimpsonGeek...thanks! These are great. The 100K Pyramid logo in particular is spectacular!!

The Hollywood Connection logo is different from that seen on the 1977 show, and looks much more modern. I think the Play the Percentages logo is slightly different as well.

The only differences w/ the PtP logos is that the real one used \"Broadway\" font and the letters were bent a little bent.
I agree on HC though. Wasn't the 1977 logo simply \"The Hollywood Connection\" typed in said Broadway font? Couldn't be that hard to reproduce.

Thought I'd bump this up in case anyone missed it the first time around

There is nothing, nothing, NOTHING more irritating in the web-based message board world than bumping posts. (Well, okay, Donegan's lame jokes. But that issue's been moot since I bettered him. ;))
If it's important enough to be bumped, out Esteemed Hosts will pin it. Otherwise, it's not important enough to be bumped.
-
I still can't get in to it...

Just about every message gets bumped at the VH1 Classic message board(a channel that, unlike GSN, is willing to show rare materials)

Sure, just as soon as somebody tells me how it was played.

Yeah, but I'll confirm Jimmy's suspicion...that wasn't even remotely close to what the actual Hollywood Connection looked like. If I remember right, the probable reason they \"rolled their own\" was that the original logo was SO cheesy that it would have looked out of place even if they tried to clean it up from a print of the show.

Unless, of course, Barry and Enright(or Enright himself in his later years), or, G-d forbid, Sony, tried to revive Hollywood Connection at some point after 1978, and did a pilot using that logo, though I've never heard anything about such a pilot.

Well, I missed this thread the first time, so I'm glad someone bumped it!

If anyone likes pics of gubernatorial candidates from a soon-to-be infamous political event, you ain't seen nuthin' yet... (http://\"http://candidatecamera.com/\").
I don't the recall itself silly and moronic, just the candidates whose platform is either \"against the recall\" or \"duh...none.\"
(There's a pic of Gary Coleman, Trek Kelly, and a buzzer, hmmm...)

Gee, I didn't know they acquired Small Talk. The other Family Channel games from that era(1994-97) were on last year's ballot. GSN getting SMall Talk means they've scratched a small surface of the Grundy library.
Did they acquire Blankety Blanks?
They've always had Blankety Blanks(US version as the logo is for the 1975 US show and not the UK Match Game with that title) as part of the Stewart library. Maybe the episodes were recently uncovered, or maybe GSN forgot to put that logo up on their site when they first put these up a few months back.

Shopping SPree, Wait Till You Have Kids, It Takes Two, WIld Animal Games, Family Challenge, and Baby Races were all on last year's ballot. FC and WAG have aired on GSN before(weekends c. 1999)
