Title: LINGO front game question...

When an opposing team is giving control to guess the word and the last letter is left[which can't be given out], if it can't be guessed successfully, how many turns around does that team receive before Chuck reveals what the word is?

 Seems to me they go back and forth until one team gets it. I suspect if it took too many turns to guess the word after only the last letter was unrevealed, some of the incorrect guesses would be edited out.
