GSN Premieres NATIONAL LAMPOON'S GREEK GAMES on Tuesday, July 6 With George Gray as Host
Wednesday June 2, 2:45 pm ET
Petros Papadakis and Daphne Brogdon Are Sideline Reporters

SANTA MONICA, Calif., June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- GSN, the network for games, will premiere NATIONAL LAMPOON'S GREEK GAMES on Tuesday, July 6 from 11:00 PM to Midnight ET/PT. This exciting four-episode series will pit four fictional fraternities and sororities against each other to compete for a trip to the magical Greek island of Mykonos.

Hosted by George Gray, ("America's Worst Driver," "Todd TV," and "The Weakest Link"), NATIONAL LAMPOON'S GREEK GAMES opens with a parade of nations as the eight teams enter the arena, outfitted in their customized togas and ready for competition. The teams will compete in 26 different events on the field and in the water including "Geek Distance Throw" (the team throws a bookish character as far as possible into the water); "Gooey Ten-Yard Dash" (a race through three inches of corn syrup); "Reclining Chair-iot Race" (a recliner rigged with wheels); "Slip and Slide Long Slide" (athletes compete to slide the furthest on water and Greek olive oil).

Gray comments, "NATIONAL LAMPOON'S GREEK GAMES is all about tongue-in-cheek humor, my favorite kind. Geek tossing, recliner races, and lots of sorority girls -- finally Greek Games that I'm excited about!"

Additional sideline reporting will be from Petros Papadakis, a former USC tailback and host of "The Petros Papadakis Show" on Los Angeles' 1540AM The Ticket, and The Southern California Sports Report on Fox Sport Net. Papadakis handles most of the coverage from the field events, while Daphne Brogdon ("X Show," and "Perfect Partner"), covers the pool action.

NATIONAL LAMPOON'S GREEK GAMES is executive produced by Mark Cronin and James Rowley of Mindless Entertainment, producers of three other GSN programs, CRAM, WHO WANTS TO BE GOVERNOR OF CALIFORNIA? and EXTREME DODGEBALL.

Well, at least it's good to hear that George Gray has a job.

I already knew that Mindless played some role in it, but didn't Jonathan Goodson produce Cram?

Mindless and JG productions were co-producers of Cram.

I think George broke into GSN's offices and burned every last EG tape.

 Nick...

I have a new sarcasm detector, still in the original box, with your name on it.  I'd normally charge $50 for it.  Since you're a friend, I'll give it to you for $49.50.  I accept PayPal. :-P

$49.50 without the instruction manual.  I'm charging $30 for the manual and $15 for the batteries.

Mike, I have an idea for the next version of your sarcasm detector: make it gas-powered.  Considering today's fuel prices, if the detector alone doesn't cause this forum's ignoramouses to go broke, the cost of maintaining it will.

[my own SD goes crazy]
