Title: The Game Show With The Most Diverse Celebrities.
Post by: TimK2003 on November 11, 2025, 11:04:23 AM
I know the panel shows What's My Line and I've Got A Secret brought on a lot of diverse celebrities and famous people who appeared a couple of times as special panelists, in single segments and/or Mystery Guests within the episode.

But what about shows that had diverse list of celebrities who actually played the game for a full week?

After winding up binge watching a slew of random Tattletales episodes recently, besides the regular and semi-regular couples who appeared on that show, it seemed like that G/T show brought on the most variety of celebrities you did not see on any other show.

For example, seeing the likes of singer James Brown, songwriter Sammy Cahn, and legendary boxer Sugar Ray Robinson playing at least one week's worth of shows...with their partners...sharing some of their more personal and intimate stories with America.  Kudos to the staffers who convinced these lesser-known people to appear and play a game show.  Peter Marshall's Hollywood Squares is another great example of variety, but TT seemed a tad better in bringing out "I can't believe they got them on the show" names.

Thoughts?

I'd say Davidson's version had several who fit into that category. They got quite a few names that prolly could've been anywhere else in 1986, especially when you compare it to who they had on the MGHS Hour a few years prior. Several big 80s sitcom and drama stars, not to mention random celebs like Wolfgang Puck, Dr. Ruth, the Fat Boys, etc.

The first season or two of the Whoopi/Bergeron version applies too IMO.
