Title: Need help with a TPiR production....
Post by: PeterMarshallFan on March 29, 2004, 05:45:23 PM
I don't plan to make any money off of this, so I don't think I'm breaking any copyright laws....

Basically, I'm planning a game of TPiR as entertainment for my sister's wedding in June. I need help with writing prize copies, however. If you'd like to help, email me through the board. Anyone who contributes, even if your copy isn't used, will be credited.

Thanks in advance.

What do you mean by prize copies?  Describing them?

I'd love to help, but the only thing I've got is a staging sheet with games & prices.

Sorry.

What's so hard about writing prize copy?

"It's a coffin."

"Send a loved one to their final resting place in this beautiful coffin ... hand-crafted from the finest wood and lined with luxurious silk ... the locking lid keeps out grave robbers ... from 'Til Death Do Us Part' coffins. And this beautiful coffin can be yours if The Price Is Right."

LOL. Chris, you and Randy should go tour comedy clubs together.

Jay, you hit the bullseye. That's exactly what I'm looking for. I'd do it myself if I had the creativity or talent to do so..

If you're worried about copyright, you could always make it a parody called "The Cost Is Correct!"

"What's the next prize, Randy?"

"It's a comfortable 'roid-donut!" <applause>

"This lovely 'roid-donut from Sitting Pretty Enterprises will keep those annoying flare-ups at bay for hours of seated pleasure. From Sitting Pretty!"

"The wrong price is $56...now, is the 5 the first number, or is the 6 the last number?"

"New, from Parker Brothers, enjoy hours of fun with The Incest Game..."

*stops before he gets to the part about "fun for the whole family"*

I know that's not how Frank Wayne did it, but today it's--

"A *comfortable* coffin."

There must be something on Adam Sandler's desk that reminds him that every one-bid prize reveal must include an adjective.

Or maybe--"a *dignified* coffin."

"A *creepy* coffin."

I think I see Chris with a shovel...

Awww, geez....Parker's release (escape?) of Wink's Top Secret is tough enough to find...
now I got another on my list....

If you find one first, Matt...post the cover.

Yeah, when ABC waivered, Chuck changed the title to "The Very Intimate Family Game, but didn't come in with the change before ABC passed on it for
Hot Seat....

Yeah. But he didn't make the same mistake twice. He came up with "The Gong Show" just in time.

"A *comfortable* coffin."
What difference does it make to a corpse whether their coffin is comfortable or not?
