Sounds like a good idea!

Love it! Back when Buzzr aired the reruns, I always laughed when they plugged the board game for the only place you could find a copy of it in 2023 was eBay. Happy to read that will no longer be the case.

The possibility of a "Talk About" reboot makes me almost as delighted as "Split Second" did. Thanks for sharing!

Reading the announcement, I can't speak to anything on the development of the reboot; that sort of statement happens all the time. However, on the board game side, this is the same Dan Rowen that was attached to Playroom / Ultra Pro Entertainment. So the board game property is very likely not vapor, and this format is very, very much in Dan's development space.

A different source, providing the same story, shows this picture:

I recognize TA host Wayne Cox, and producer Mark Maxwell-Smith, but wonder who the guy on the far right is.
BTW, the article mentions that Mark Maxwell-Smith is to be on a panel at the Quiz Show Expo today/tonight. If anyone from the group is attending, I'd like to hear what he has to say himself about this business deal.

Looks like Andrew O'Connor, the UK host, to me.

For those hoping Wayne Cox will host the reboot, they will be disappointed. Ain’t no way.

I glossed over this the first time I saw this thread. Never did I think there would be overlap in any Venn diagram with (the entertainment side of) the best manufacturer of sportscard and Pokémon card holders and game shows.

I believe you're right. Didn't he retire about a decade ago, anyway?

And is apparently quite upset over the discontinuation of Stoned Wheat Thins crackers. Those things are serious business. 🙂

And he also hosted the game show documentary Buzzr produced a few years ago.

No, that was Alex Trebek. Wayne presided over The Search For Canada's Game Shows.
Cordially,
