Title: TBS renews "The Cube" for season 2...

Main change is the Trial Run lifeline (the team can practice the game once with no penalty or reward before deciding to continue) is available once a team gets to $50,000 (game 5).

Yeah. Kevin is correct. Treat it like watching a football game and skip over the cruft.

Basically this. When I watch Next Level Chef, I skip over the mini-bios in early episodes to focus more on the gameplay.
