Title: NBC question
Post by: danderson on May 02, 2020, 03:37:21 PM
On the episodes i have of $ale of the Century, particularly the ones in 1988-89, go straight to the "following companies have furnished prizes" crawl at the end of the show, rather than fee plugs. I'm assuming this was the era when fee plugs weren't done at the end of shows on NBC?

NBC Sale never did fee plugs, did they?

The early seasons did, but I think they moved them to midshow at some point.

I remember reading in a magazine (Broadcasting?) that NBC asked all their games to remove the end of show fee plugs to 1 sponsor during the show; December 1987 I believe.
