According to Deadline.com, American Gladiators is being shopped for revival with original producer John Ferraro along with Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg joining as Executive Producers as well.

I can see Mike Goldberg (the now-former voice of UFC) and Maria Sansone (who co-hosted Gladiators 2000 with some young chap named Ryan Seacrest) as the new hosts for American Gladiators 3.0, which would be a far better improvement from Hulk Hogan and Laila Ali.

/Hopefully the reboot would also mean new theme music, with bits of the original Bill Conti theme sprinkled in

Ironically, TKO is done on the very same soundstage in Studio City as the original American Gladiators from 1991-97 (and that short-lived medieval knockoff Knights and Warriors) as well as Gladiators 2000.

That show always rubbed me the wrong way.

(OTOH, Wild West Showdown was the bomb and I'll fight anyone who protests.)
