Title: Well, that'd be a bummer
Post by: Clay Zambo on March 24, 2017, 11:59:17 PM
According to a New York Times article, contestants on a British reality show called EDEN emerged from their year-long adventure to learn that the show had been canceled while they were away.

Wouldn't the camera crews have been pulled out when the show was canceled, and wouldn't you think the players would have noticed?

I think stateside we've already seen this concept is a failure (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utopia_(U.S._TV_series)).

They're going to turn the remaining footage into a survival documentary at a later date, they still made the show despite it not going out as originally intended, is my understanding.

It's actually not the first UK realidoc called Eden, Channel 4 also did it around 2001 with phone votes to affect the island community, cashing in on the original Big Brother, but likewise it didn't last long.
