Let me throw a barroom argument style question to the panel. I forgot where, but I remember reading some articles sometime ago that asked what was the best primetime TV Lineup of all-time. Your answers may vary, of course, but the three most popular answers usually are:
1. ABC's Friday Night lineup of '72 (The Brady Bunch, The Partridge Family, Room 222, The Odd Couple, and Love, American Style)
2. CBS's Saturday Night lineup of '74 (All In The Family, M*A*S*H, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Bob Newhart Show, and The Carol Burnett Show)
3. NBC's Thursday Night lineup of '85 (The Cosby Show, Family Ties, Cheers, Night Court, and Hill Street Blues)
Now let's discuss their AM counterpoint: What do you think was the best DAYTIME TV Lineup of all-time? I mean, what game show block from back in the day do you feel is now a classic?
I'll start: My vote goes to CBS daytime lineup back in 1984-1985 (The $25,000 Pyramid, Press Your Luck, and TPiR)
-
I'll go with your daytime time frame, but switch over to NBC. In 1985, you had $ale, Wheel, Scrabble, Super Password and (insert short-lived game show at 10:00 am).
/FWIW, I'm picking CBS's primetime lineup from 1974
//Squeaks by NBC by a hair

That line-up would be my third choice. (BTW, you left out Body Language; unless you didn't get it where you live.)
My #1 choice is the CBS lineup from 1974-75 (TJW, Gambit, NYSI, TPiR, MG '74-75, and Tattletales.)
#2: ABC from 1976-77 (The $20,000 Pyramid, Family Feud, Break The Bank '76 {too bad that one didn't survive} and Hot Seat {yeah, I liked that one}/Second Chance.)
...switch over to NBC. In 1985, you had $ale, Wheel, Scrabble, Super Password and (insert short-lived game show at 10:00 am).
That lineup is my #4 choice.
Cordially,
Tammy

My #1 would be just before winkfan"s cbs 74 the joker's wild 10,000 pyramud gambit. Afternoon price match game tattletales
-
I go NBC 1979-80--CS, HSq, HR, WoF and P+ (plus short-lived show at 12N/11AM CT). Pretty good murderer's row there.
-
ABC-1974-75 season. Password (inc. All-Stars), Split Second, LMAD, NG (first half of season), Girl in My Life (quasi-game, but great music package), $10,000 Pyramid, and from the second half of the season-The Big Showdown, Money Maze, Blankety Blanks and then the summer debuts Showoffs, Rhyme and Reason and YDS!. The other networks were good too, but my 14 year old eyes were on ABC.

I'm taking NBC's lineup from September 1987 to March 1989: Sale, Classic Concentration, Wheel, Win Lose or Draw, Super Password, Scrabble.
-
Though there have been a lot of great lineups, I'm going to show my age - NBC daytime lineup 1963 brings warm memories - Say When, Play Your Hunch, The Price Is Right, Concentration, Your First Impression, Truth Or Consequences, People Will Talk, You Don't Say, and Match Game. I don't think we had access to ABC, or it might have been a tossup between Concentration and Seven Keys. At That time, CBS had morning sitcom reruns, and Password, House Party, and To Tell The Truth in the afternoon. A handful of enduring classics. And within months, Jeopardy and Let's Make A Deal arrive on the scene.
-
NBC, July 1967-December 1968: Snap Judgment, Concentration, Personality, The Hollywood Squares, Jeopardy!, Eye Guess, Let's Make a Deal, You Don't Say!, The Match Game. And in some markets, PDQ.
-
I'm going to take, even though it wasn't around for long, the July 1988-March 1989 CBS lineup. It consisted of two great shows that used to be on CBS's competition (Family Feud and Card Sharks) and then Price. Many a summer day was spent vegging out on our screened-in porch watching those 2 hours.
-
NBC Daytime, September 1987 through January 1989. Totally concur with Mike.

This lineup gets my vote! We were able to see PDQ in Cleveland!

As do I. Really, if you look at how stacked that lineup really was, with the stalwarts in Sale and Wheel, Super Password keeping a good audience at 12 even though the show was on its last legs, Scrabble at maybe its peak, the return of Concentration, and Win, Lose or Draw doing its thing, you can't argue.

+1 (although I was torn between the 1985 lineup)
-
NBC: 1971-1973 (Concentration, Sale of the Century, Hollywood Squares, Jeopardy, The Who What or Where Game, Three on a Match). I'm sure some of the ones mentioned from earlier years were great, but I don't remember them very well.
CBS: Feb.-March 1974 (The Joker's Wild, The $10,000 Pyramid, Gambit, The New Price Is Right, Match Game '74, Tattletales). Short-lived.
ABC: April-June 1975 (Blankety Blanks, Password, Split Second, Let's Make a Deal, The $10,000 Pyramid, The Big Showdown, The Money Maze).

Totally agree with you. That was my favorite lineup then.
-
My favorite:
April 1978 - June 1980 NBC: Card Sharks, Hollywood Squares (or Jeopardy!), High Rollers, Wheel of Fortune, Password Plus
