On July 11, 1966, the word "whoopee" became more than just slang for "Yabba Dabba Doo" with the launching of The Newlywed Game over the ABC network.

Well it's the anniversary of the creation of the mondegreen (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mondegreen) "Survey Says!"
