Title: Ebay find: 16mm game show sales reel from 1957
Post by: snowpeck on March 08, 2016, 12:21:12 AM
Here's an interesting film. Jack Barry (Tic Tac Dough), Jack Bailey (Queen for a Day), and Bill Cullen (The Price is Right) pitch their respective shows to the S.O.S. scouring pad people, I'm guessing for potential sponsorship.

Given the presence of Cullen, I will almost certainly make a stab at this, with the ultimate goal being a YouTube upload so everyone can enjoy it.  However, I'm not going to go out of my way, nor will I engage in a bidding war.  If someone out there among you thinks you're more interested than I am, let me know (privately, if you like) and I will stand down and allow you to bid on it yourself.

Matt, knowing you will share if you win takes me out of the bidding!

Well, sorry gang.  I had what I thought would be a decent pre-emptive bid, and clearly, I was wrong.  At least two bidders went higher than me.  $79 final winning bid.
