He's a stand-up comedian, so the only thing I can guess is that he's performed at a lot of open mic nights where they were falsely advertising the presence of a microphone.

So he was a little vocal; that's hardly reason to crown him most annoying of 2015. Maybe most annoying of this particular show (and again I can think of times that I've actually blipped ahead to Final Jeopardy because I didn't want to hear the champion's voice again)
but he also has to lose someday.

that's nothing. in Italy we just had an Avanti Un Altro! contestant so annoying that the host had to tie him up with a rope
