I found out the name of the font used in the "Press Your Luck" logo is called: "BigBox".

Here's what turned up. Looks like this guy made a font inspired by the logo.

So in fact it would have been far more accurate to say "someone made a font based loosely on the Press Your Luck logo called 'BigBox'."
