Title: WoF and J!: ABC stations
Post by: GiraffeBoy on May 22, 2015, 10:25:04 PM
I found out KABC is airing WoF at 10:00 p.m. (and J! at 10:30) on June 4, after the NBA Finals Game 1 at 6:00 and a special "Jimmy Kimmel Live" at 9:30.

Really, Channel 7, who's more important to Angelenos, me or LeBron James? :)

Asked and (not needed to be) answered, Your Honor.

Before I answer that question, can you run the point or do you have miracle fixes for the injuries to Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving?

Their local "Sports Zone" show fills the time between the end of the game and the start of "JKL" -- be glad the Clippers aren't going to be in the finals, or they'd most likely extend "Sports Zone," still run "JKL" in its entirety, and then join WoF in progress.  This was an issue back when the Lakers were good (and back then, they'd schedule J! for 10:00 and WoF for 10:30, so J! was the one that would be joined in progress).

I hate it when that happens. I know it's a necessity but I still don't have to be happy about it. :P

Luckily I live in a market where that rarely ever happens. By my count, it's been exactly once, and the situation only arose because of Election Day (the episode was moved to Saturday) and a college football game ran long (I know Michigan was involved). IIRC each subsequent time the power hour was preempted for sports, they simply aired it at a later time.

Now, if the Knicks ever make it to the Finals again, I could potentially be singing a different tune.

Cavs-Warriors just went to OT. If this goes too long, WoF may start in progress. (:@)

While the idea of NBA using golden goal as a tiebreaker is amusing, they're going to finish the overtime period (five minutes?).

Wouldn't have changed tonight's result.

BTW, when does KOMO air it tonight? I have relatives there who plan to see it.

Sad to say, all the KOMO viewing area got of WoF was the credits.  Kimmel ended at 9:25, and J! started on time at 9:30.

I was out that night. I set my recording for an hour starting at 9:59. KABC started the show about 9:57. I missed the first toss-up and part of my interview. (:@)

And KOMO aired just the credits? (:@)

I wonder if this show will re-air in the summer/next season.
