Definitely a nice piece worth watching, with glimpses of the first episode, the ill-fated NBC revival and even "Mr. Connery".
Happy 50th J!

Wait, the first episode of Fleming's Jeopardy! exist?

It looks to actually be footage of a 1964 pilot, which is available for viewing at the various television museums.

More precisely, it was explained to me that this is a "test" episode that never aired. It wasn't a pilot, because the show had already been sold. Basically, something done to work out the kinks before going to air.

Impressive how the producer and/oe editor managed to work in all incarnations of the series into the piece.
