You might already know this, but Wink has a new Facebook page and very soon we'll be starting to add lots and lots more content including photos and videos of Wink's career in both radio and television. Plus there will be ways for you to win prizes!!

In all seriousness, you should know Chris' standard snark level well enough to know that the spirit intended was the same as yours -- that John could have been bothered to use the search box. But I don't think this one is John's fault.
The search does not return matches in chronological order. To make matters worse, when I just searched for "Wink Facebook", the search engine returns five matches, one of which is this thread, and none of which is Jamey's. This is because Jamey only used the word "facebook" in the URL, and instead used "FB" in his title, and the search engine doesn't pick up "facebook" from that.

Actually it was more about the shameless shilling from someone who certainly knows a thing or two about shameless shilling. But, no biggie.

Fair enough. I don't really have a problem with the shameless shilling part, myself. As long as it's not a link to 90 seconds of a 22 minute pilot.

Although it sounded rather clear from the writing that Wink Martindale wasn't actually writing his content himself, this confirms it and makes me a lot less likely to pay any attention to it.
It's not believable at all to have a Wink Martindale ventriloquist dummy with John Ricci doing the talking.

How does John linking to it in any way mean that Wink isn't contributing in any way? Obviously John, his idiosyncrasies aside (how in the HELL do you adapt the Rubik's Cube into a game show? It's been about a decade since he first floated that concept and I'm still dumbfounded as to how it's possible to do it- unless you have a race to a certain number of sides filled and even then it sounds unnecessarily tedious), has something to do with it but I'm certain that Wink isn't going to let John put up whatever he wants to put up and will have a very large degree of creative control.
And I thought I was being overly crotchety lately...

Having safely excised your parenthetical content, I've always felt that Wink Martindale has been his own cartoon representation of a game show host for a long time but his FB page content doesn't seem to be like something he'd say and/or do from what little I know of him.
I'm always amused by the people that actually expect personal replies from him on stupid questions & observations that they leave.

Actually aside from those folks who are helping him out which include John, Wink is very much involved with his new Facebook fan page. They just got it up and running...but there's more to come soon.

But I will thank you for confirming my, for lack of a better term, suspicions. I figured as much that Wink, as busy as he still keeps himself, might not have had the time.

I decided to message the page and ask myself, and I got a reply just a couple of hours ago:
Hi Christian, nice to hear from you. I have two friends who are assisting me in this process. They are responsible for some of the content, but the majority of it is coming from me directly. I do appreciate your kind words and hope you continue to enjoy the page! - The Winker
