Were there any G/T shows that didn't last 1 season?

How long did NYSI 89 last? 12 weeks? Not sure if that would qualify as a season officialy [it wouldn't in my book]

Here are some GT or Goodson shows that didn't make 52 full weeks on the air: What's Going On, Split Personality, Call my Bluff, SHowoffs, IGAS(Bill Cullen 1976), Double Dare(Trebek), Mindreaders, Better Sex, Trivia Trap, NYSI89, Blockbusters(Rafferty), Beat the Clock(MOnty), TPIR94(Doug Davidson), TTTT90, MGHS hour, and probably a couple of others.

Did the Rafferty CS last a whole season?

There were never seasons for network daytime game shows back in the day. Usually show anniversaries would be celebrated, and reruns were almost never aired. I would usually keep my eye on TV Guide at the end of each quarter and if the show made it thirteen weeks, I came to know it would be on for another thirteen. So in a sense, 13 weeks was the yardstick for me.  The two or three weeks before or after Jan 1, Apr 1, July 1 and Oct 1 were the ones to worry about.  In additon to those mentioned, "Get the Message" lasted less than a year (and Robert Q supplanted Frank Buxton.)

I think it did last a full year.

Your game show has to stink horrendously for it not to last a year in syndication.  Even MG'98 lasted a year.  And we all know CS'01 didn't... because it was just that bad.

Most around here won't say Catch Phrase stunk, and it got pulled at mid-season. Ditto for the original Lingo(the legal problems and lack of station interest is what killed that one)

Let's not forget what led to the original Lingo's downfall: Everyone hated the No-Lingo Round!

Speak for yourself, not for the group.  I thought the bonus game worked pretty well.

There are also some games that shouldn't have lasted a season, but that's my opinion.
