Title: concentration game 40 anniversay game by endless games
Post by: bradhig on June 21, 2013, 04:25:53 PM

I just got a copy of the 40th anniversary edition of concentration by endless games and two prize cards are missing.

I know one is the bicycle but I don\'t know what the other one is?  All the other prizes ,wilds, take a prizes are matched up.

Then, by process of elimination, I\'d have to guess that it\'s a third Wild.

It is because I only have two wilds.

That you\'re inconsolable? That you\'re going to return the game? That you\'re going to plot to overthrow the world only to find out that Simpsons already did it? Please finish your thought.

Then why the hell did you ask?

I didn\'t know there was supposed to be three wilds.

The board has 25 squares.  It\'s right on the box, and you had to have known that.  That you didn\'t realize this requires an odd number of wild cards is a basic failure of your own math skills that we cannot help.

Wild cards ? How am i supposed to know it wasn\'t supposed to be an odd number of take a prize.. I don\'t know that much about concentration as some people because I have seen

so few episodes.   I have no problem with math skills. There is no list of prize cards anywhere in the game so I couldn\'t know

I am too young to remember the 1970 version of concentration and classic concentration didn\'t run in St. Louis because KSDK channel 5 wouldn\'t carry it.

Simple division. 25 divided by two leaves twelve with one left over. Meaning they had to make up the difference and put in an extra wild card.

EVERY BOARD GAME SHOULD TELL YOU WHAT PIECES COME WITH IT. It\'s common sense!

Why would you buy a copy of the game if parts were missing?

I didn\'t know they were missing until I opened it.  I haven\'t played concentration in a long time .I got it at a thrift store.  I have three MB cocentration games and they have all their parts because I got those off Ebay.  I wouldn\'t insult someone because they didn\'t know how many stupid wild cards

were supposed to be in a concentration game.

I\'m not insulting someone for not knowing how many stupid wild cards were supposed to be in Concentration game.

I\'m insulting someone for being utterly bereft of the basic math and logic skills necessary to figure out that answer for themselves.

I hope you enjoyed this because I doubt people are going to be this charitable in the future. I know I won\'t be.

Travis and Chris, do not work for a special education institution. You guys are a little crazy with the comments.

Dustin, please read the OP\'s OP and then tell me how off base we were.

I mean, some questions have answers that can easily be found if one is willing to do the leg work. In this case the OP either didn\'t do it or didn\'t complete it, because if he had he\'d have seen that any remainder that was left when he divided the number of squares by the number of pairs would have had to be filled with something that didn\'t require a match.

And his sourpuss response certainly didn\'t help matters. It\'s the way the world works. If it\'s a question you can\'t easily find the answer to, then people might be more willing to take the time to answer. If it\'s one where the answer is kicking you in the cajones with a steel toed boot with a 45 pound barbell plate attached to it then you\'re gonna find that most people are going to be less likely to answer in the manner you\'d desire and you\'ll be lucky to get that.

This is by far one of the weirdest arguments I\'ve seen on this forum. Definitely one of the silliest.

Brad, I get your point, but a few people have spelled this one out for you, and you\'re still getting defensive over it. Again, I get your point, but getting upset at everyone else isn\'t helping your case either. You bought it at a thrift store, so really, you\'re out what, $3? It\'s just one of those \"buyer beware\" scenarios.

Brad could always find another copy with missing pieces and parts, and create a whole game. I did that a few months ago with a Jeopardy! 10th Edition I found in impeccable condition, but it was missing two dollar slides. Enter a 4th edition I have had for close to 20 years, which is missing many more pieces. Ta da, complete 10th Edition. At least in this area, I have seen more than my fair share of Endless Concentration games at thrift stores. Hopefully the hunt for another copy to either complete your current copy or to keep as a playable version is not that difficult.

Enough that I\'m closing this thread after receiving a complaint.
