Nickelodeon has just released a \"Volume 1\" set of Family Double Dare episodes to iTunes. This compilation includes seven episodes, six from the 1990 season and one from the 1992 season, and are available at a cost of $1.99 each, or $5.99 for the whole set.

That\'s interesting how they labeled the first two in that list as Episode 14 and 17.
As I recall, they were the earliest episodes of the show in 1990.
This is neat. I think you would be wise to purchase these if you are so inclined...the more that it\'s seen as a revenue opportunity, the more episodes of any game show we might see pop up on iTunes.

There were 13 episodes of Family Double Dare in 1988, so it\'s counted as a continuous line in that particular record.
Also available: seven-episode collections of Global Guts, Legends of the Hidden Temple and the original Figure It Out, plus the complete collection of what has aired of the new Figure It Out.

A Family Double Dare \"Essentials\" pack has been released, with two previously-released episodes and two episodes from FOX\'s 1988 Family Double Dare. Classic Figure it Out now has a volume two. Legends of the Hidden Temple has a volume two, as well an \"Essentials\" pack.
So now the list of Fox FDD episodes is as follows (12 out of 13 identified).
Brotshuls Vs. Duncans
Chews vs. Wilfrids
Datz-Lerners vs. Dieroffs (Lou Ferrigno vs. Weird Al Yankovic)
Dugarys vs. Marinis
Fondaks vs. Fischlers
Gudelunas vs. Keeneys
Kudlas vs. Sterns
McGoldricks vs. O\'Donnells
McKenna vs. Millhouse
Scharles vs. Lentz
Southwicks vs. Doerrs
Winwards vs. Reillys
The only thing missing is the \"special one-hour episode\". Yes, the original 1988 version had one. I remember researching it on old L.A. Times newspapers, which also mentioned there being a Kudlas Vs. Sterns episode.
Finally, I remember reading on the old Invision boards that the Brotshuls Vs. Duncans episode was the one where:
During the final obstacle, \"Inside Out\", the Brotshul family got the flag with no time left on the clock, and Marc had to ask the Judges if they actually got it. Thankfully, they did.
Wonder what the odds are that Nick will release that hour long episode on iTunes. Nonetheless, it\'s great these two episodes were the ones Nick released as these were 2 of the 3 that can\'t be found on the trading circuit.
Bertie, I remember on an older version of this list, you had \"Chews Vs. Charnels\" as one of the episodes. Where did the information for such alleged episode come from?

Good memory, it was actually Chews vs Charlets. It was listed on a trader\'s page. I have since contacted him and he informed me it was a typo/mistake on his part. I don\'t know if Chews/Charlets is indeed the hour long episode name and he didn\'t have it, or he confused himself and that Chews vs Charlets episode doesn\'t exist. Who knows? Maybe someone on here does...
Another Family Double Dare collection is available for purchase, this time exclusively from Fox\'s Family Double Dare. Seven unreleased episodes at $1.99 a pop or $5.99 for all seven.
Volumes one and two are now available on Amazon as well, along with a third volume that has yet to appear on iTunes with two more unique Fox episodes. This makes eleven purchasable episodes available online from this series.

Pretty sure I saw this same plot on the Adam & Eve Network once.
ObThread: Still cool that at least some game show content is going this route - don\'t know if Hulu would house some of it but I\'m all for it.

Now that all 13 have been uncovered, it\'s clear there never was an hour-long episode. This commercial states that the celebrity episode is one hour, but that\'s blatantly false. It\'s likely they just aired two episodes in a row and called it a day. Very easy to see where confusion would set in.
Also, do you have links to the LA Times articles you found? I\'m having a hard time finding them, and I\'d love to read them.
It was the T.V. listings in the Los Angeles Times at my local library. On Microfilm.
Finally, why haven\'t the kids\' version episodes from 1986 to 1989 shown up on Itunes? A rights issue perhaps?
Just out of curiosity, why do you keep deleting your posts and reposting the question? I don\'t think it\'s going to get lost in the shuffle.
It has to do with my being put on moderation status recently.

So, what, you can\'t edit?
Not sure what you mean. I can\'t edit my profile to get off moderation status.
And what about my question? Why haven\'t the kids\' version episodes from 1986 to 1989 shown up on Itunes? A rights issue?
And what about my question?
The Fox FDD episodes looked pretty high. So I\'m gonna say that yes, they were pulled from the masters,
Anyone know the video quality? Are they pulled from the masters?
They\'re fantastic. Here\'s a sample screenshot. I don\'t know about the \"masters,\" but they reran these episodes on Nickelodeon in 1990, so they\'re the same minus a slight edit now and again at the end of the show to not mention Fox, which is how they aired in repeats on the network.
In iTunes, you can usually hover over the thumbnail in the store to see a preview clip and you can judge the quality that way.
Wait, did they really edit out references to Fox? I never noticed it, because the editing was very well done.
Finally, why haven\'t the kids\' version episodes from 1986 to 1989 shown up on Itunes? A rights issue perhaps?
I highly doubt it\'s a rights issue. It\'s their own program, after all. They just may prefer to release those episodes first, but it would be nice to see some of the others show up, especially the first taped episode. The quality of the copy I received via tape trade is less than desirable.
Super Sloppy Double Dare from 1987 has been added. Volume one is on Amazon, but currently listed as \"unavailable,\" while volume two is on both iTunes and Amazon.
Exactly which teams are on each of the currently available episodes?

Buy them and find out yourself. Or watch the preview clips. No offense, but we\'re not your personal suppliers of demands.
No, I\'m not offended. I\'m taking it rather well.
Well, I finally got around to downloading Itunes (guess that wasn\'t so hard after all).
I didn\'t buy any episodes. Just watched previews. I was hoping there would be some newly resurfaced episodes (like the toy boat one), but alas, no. Also, I\'m with Travis. Who the hell is writing the descriptions to these episodes?
They have now added a pack of Super Sloppy Double Dare labeled as \"Volume 2,\" though I can\'t find any evidence of there being a volume 1.

Greg, 40 episodes of the original SSDD were made in 1987, according to my research. Why were 19 of them left out in Nick GAS reruns? Similarly, why did Nick GAS leave out a lot of first season Finders\' Keepers episodes from 1987?
I don\'t know why Volume 1 hasn\'t been added to iTunes yet, but it is available on Amazon Instant Prime for $1.99 per episode.
