(I mentioned a few months ago that I got to see Paul Kreppel in the role.)
Good for her, but is a national tour better than Broadway? Legitimately curious.
I\'d say no. John Davidson has been on the dinner theatre circuit since forever.
After hugging me, nice to see he could still find steady work.
As anyone who watches Smash knows, it all depends on the size of the role. You could toil away in the chorus and in small feature parts on Broadway for years, but what you really want is a lead, and those aren\'t typically handed out to bit players until they\'ve been tested on the road. If this is indeed her first lead, there\'s no shame in it being a touring company. As far as I know, that\'s the case with this friend.

That\'s a good point. We have a local actor by the name of Brian D\'Arcy James who landed the title role of \"Shrek\" on Broadway, which is cool, but who can recognize him under all that make-up? When he got one of the supporting roles on \"Smash,\" everybody was happy, but then he got cut before the second season. We\'re not sure what he\'s doing now.
As anyone who watches Smash knows,
Someone still watches Smash?
