Ok, the FINAL spin which is given to the player who wins their showcase...what happens on a Double Over Bid?  No one spin?

As was said in a similar thread here, a random member of the studio audience would be selected to spin for the million.

 Is this fact?

I thought it was the contestant with the highest winning total.

JayC is the one who mentioned it in the summary thread about the MDS.  He certainly said it as if it was fact, but I'd be curious as to how he knew.

Matt/Bogart:

From what I was told by a person who directly asked Roger/Staff, the audience thing was exactly correct.

I might even think that the original plan was to have an audience member come up after the Showcases, but I believe they decided to allow the Showcase winner the chance first, rather than make it that much more confusing.  I'm assuming they would draw a random number similar to the $100 studio door prize.

Is there any reason why you can only call me by my last name?

Because there are 8,092 Chris' already here!  :)  Sorry, if it's a big deal, I won't.

Calling people by their last name was a quirk some people around here have had since the days as Usenet.

Would Randy know, definitively, if the rest was just speculation??

I would think it would either have to be the one case where the spin just did not happen, or it had to be the next name on the list or something...
