In some areas Wheel came on earlier than that.  By Sept 19th we'd already had it for four weeks!  By the second year in 1984 it was fed via satellite and each city aired the same episode each day.

I am trying to remember...did WCBS get Wheel on this day, or later?

Later.  WCBS was running PM Magazine at 7:30 around then; I don't think they picked up Wheel until January.

WNEW (now WNYW) had PM Magazine. To make way for Wheel, WCBS canned "2 On The Town".
