I see our somewhat unknown local story is finally hitting the non-broadcast media:
http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20120915/METRO/209150364/1409/rss36 (http://"http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20120915/METRO/209150364/1409/rss36")
Two people suing each other over a share of a $50K WWTBAM prize from 2009, although they committed fraud to get on the show in the first place (one took the phone game so another could get on). The real suit should be Disney trying to get their money back.

This. I'm always amused and disgusted by behavior like what the story tells us. I'd love for a Mouse lawyer to come in and really mess them up.
-
Can't we root for the contestant(s) and the Mouse both to lose?

"Ha Ha.....We'll see you in court bucko!....Ha Ha" (http://"http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Mickey-Mouse-Scales-Justice-Lawyer-Blue-Tshirt-Tee-T-Shirt-Adult-Large-/00/s/MTI4MFg5NjA=/$T2eC16dHJGoE9nuQg1kgBP5BtU,9,w~~60_57.JPG")

Hmm. I remember seeing a contestant on Regis Millionaire who did so badly, I was like: How on earth did he pass the phone test?
Why would someone capable of passing the phone test not want to go on the show himself/herself?
-
Because he wasn't 18 yet?

Because he wasn't 18 yet?
Granted, but what is the 38-year-old Mr. Hirsch's excuse?

"Hmm...how I can secure myself some easy cash? I know! I'll take the phone test FOR someone and ask them to break me off a percentage of whatever they win! That way I can still get paid by letting someone else do all the work! I'm a genius!"
Except not because three years later he's still fighting for his money...

I was talking to my lawyer friend who had tipped this off to me before it made the media. He said that the statute of limitations has run out for Disney to get their money back.
Edit: Typo cleverly pointed out by Marc

You just gave me an idea for our spelling list.

Got me there.

Maybe he's camera shy.
