For the record....
Alex Trebek will be 75 at the conclusion of that season.
Pat Sajak will be 69.
Vanna White will be 59.

For the record....
Vanna White will be 59.
Some interesting comparisons:
Betty White was 61 (really!) during Just Men
Janice Pennington was 58 when she was let go.
Meredith Vieira is 58 now.
Anne Robinson was 57 at the end of The Weakest Link (US) and 67 when it ended this year in the UK
Arlene Francis was 59 at the end of the network WML? and 67 at the end of the syndie run.
-
And Johnny Gilbert will turn 92 during the summer of '16.
**Art Fleming was 60 when the current version began airing**

Pat will tie Bob Barker for longest continuous stint hosting the same show.

Don't tell Barker that....That'll be too much for him and his head will asplode.

Nah, he'll just go to a Caps game and pick a fight with Sajak....while wearing a Penguins jersey. Everybody knows that. :)
I think the longevity record is all that Barker has left. Pat has had him on seasons and eps for some time if you include the daytime and syndie runs of both shows.

and in Italy Mike Bongiorno hosted until 84.
and he was definitely not going to retire.
-
If Pat retired at the end of the 15-16 season, he'd still be trailing Barker by a few months.
Technical question: does Vanna count as a host? She's been variously introduced as "hostess" and "star", but she doesn't really, well, host.

I'll gladly pay to watch that fight. Considering there may be another NHL lockout, it may be the only good action we'll get all winter. Let's just put them both at center ice, get about 18,000 people to scream "UNLEASH THE FURY", and then watch Sajak beat the crap out of Barker. ;-P
