Title: The GSN Endangered Species List
Post by: curtking on December 13, 2003, 12:43:30 PM
Now that the Boden era is history and it is rumored that classic GS content will be reduced...

What do you think will be the first shows to go?  What shows will be the most important for collectors to snag before they disappear?

Curt

My guesses would be Blockbusters and Card Sharks.

I don't see Feud or Match Game going anywhere, even if the channel changes formats.

I say Greed for 2 reasons. One: Boden had a part in that.  Two: They've run through the package a couple times now....

That's a fabulous guess for both reasons.  I also have to think the B&WO period hasn't long to live, and this'll almost CERTAINLY be your last chance to see Make The Connection!

Not that they were gonna show stuff like Two For the Money anyway (which I'd like to see again). It's a shame that the only person rallying for classics over there has left...

I assume they're gonna get more of the 1985 PYL shows, and I hope that they'll bring in the 1983 and 1986 shows. We haven't cleared those hurdles yet!

If they wanted to, they could redo the daytime line up to replicate the USA glory years with PYL, HP, Pyramid, PTP, TTD etc. to capture the important under 30 demo who remember watching the shows on USA from their playpens.

Hot Potato's been run too many times(notably three cycles on GSN in 2000-01). Some or all of the other shows would be OK in daytime.

Oh the days of those ATGSers are long behind me now! I remember that quote so well.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand...

The only versions of CS and BB that haven't been aired in quite sometime are the Rafferty versions.

They've aired those shows only a few years, but some people aren't familiar with them, so it's only fair that we give those people a chance to view the shows.
