Any time I try to use the keypad it attempts to search.

At first I said "wow, how totally geeky."
Then I popped open Google and tried it. How stupidly fun.
My official ruling: awesome.
Well done. :)
Upgrade to a modern browser (http://"http://www.google.com/chrome/intl/en/p/doodle.html") and see what this doodle can really do.
:(
(It's not even letting me play the music, just a .png and a search link)

Well, they did give you the solution. It uses some fancy HTML5 and audio canvas stuff to make everything go.

Surprised no one else has tried the CS '78/DD '76 Synth Lead:
RIRIRUYTRT
RIRIRUYTR [ETA: That last note doesn't seem entirely right to me, but 5 sounds even less right]
It helps to tweak the knobs around a bit; probably won't sound exactly like the original, though.
As soon as someone recreates the synth solo from Rush's "Subdivisions", I'll be happy.

Not strictly related to the doodle, but I had never seen this commercial before featuring Edd and his Moog:

It's definitely been here before. Always fun to see though...you get the feeling Edd had just wrapped up a Concentration recording session with the way his synth is patched. :)
