Slightly surprised this hasn't been brought up already (then again, this is arguably a spoiler, but it's being widely reported):

I find myself agreeing with one of the Yahoo! posters: Every vulture will now be after him.

I was referring to the unfortunate tendency of big prize winners to find themselves surrounded by a horde of "new friends" - of course, I'm speaking from the American perspective. Maybe it won't be as bad in India.

I suspect that it would be far worse in India, especially given our winner's upbringing.

Don't forget about all of his new "cousins" he never knew he had...

(And I am under the impression it's not limited to the USA - I remember an English sitcom where somebody won something and was warned about "begging letters."  Apparently, there's nothing new about it either; Charles Dickens wrote an article over 150 years ago about them.)

He may not be a chai wallah from Mumbai, but hey, WHAT A PLAY-AH! (:))

Any footage from the show?

EDIT: Found from the L.A. Times that the winner's appearances air Tuesday and Wednesday.

CBS' Early Show had a feature on it today, plus a clip from Slumdog Millionaire.
