Chris Mann clearly stated that he'd have a book about TPIR ready by 2011. So where is it then?
-
You'll note that there's still a full quarter left in 2011.
-
Also, that sometimes things take longer to finish than originally thought.
-
I understand that, but the thing is, he hasn't announced any delays yet. That has me concerned.

Friend of mine is working on a book about the history of Infocom and interactive fiction. He's been working on it for a couple years now, I know the original publishing goal has come and gone, and I haven't heard anything. But I know he's still working on it.
Don't worry about it.

I worked on Chris' book Come and Knock on My Door. It takes awhile. There are legal reads, and in the case of that book, none of us realized he'd gotten an interview with one of the principals at the last moment.
I'm sure he'll have some information shortly.

Locked in the trunk of his flying car.

The amazing thing about Chris Mann is that he was able to coax Joyce DeWitt out from being away from the spotlight for 15 years to do an interview, and do the same thing with Anitra Ford, who hadn't been heard from in over 30 years.
A shame that Suzanne's behavior on Three's Company ruined it for everyone on set. A broken rib? Yeah, like anyone's gonna believe that.
-
If I were Chris Mann I would bide my time and wait for a certain, um, event to occur. This event probably won't happen this year, maybe not next year, but I predict it is not too many years away.

I have August 14, 2013 in our company betting pool.

Another important point to remember is the length of time between manuscript and publication. I've known a couple of people who waited two years from "manuscript finished" to "book on shelf".
