Does anyone know when Carolyn Duncan served as the word authority? She's cited along with Robert Stockwell in the EOTVGS, but I've never come across other references to her. It's possible that she was a substitute or that she was an interim word authority in '71 after Reason A. Goodwin and before Stockwell.
Also, at what point (approximately) did they introduce the eggcrate score displays on the desk? The "slide" displays were evidently still used during the 4th week of the series (see the second photo from the bottom here--I *think* that's Peter Lawford and Burt Reynolds: http://abcpassword.tvheaven.com/).

If memory serves, Allen names her in (at least) one of the post-All-Stars episodes floating around.

Don't know for sure but I'm figuring by the time it moved to the noon-hour slot they had eggcrates. I watched this while home from school for lunch and I only remember the scoreboard having eggcrates - I don't ever recall seeing the others on this version.

A bit more photographic evidence--the old score displays were still present during at least the first week that Mary Tyler Moore was a guest (May 24-28, 1971; she appeared again the week of September 6, on both occasions with Jack Cassidy):

By the way, does anyone recognize the celebrities in the 4-second clip of Password in ABC's fall '74 promo? (It starts at 2:22):

The little zero, I presume, indicated how many games a team had won in the best-2-of-3 matches (as opposed to the one-loss-and-out format in use at the time of the Klugman-Somers episode).

The man looked a little like Ed Asner.

I'd say the woman is Linda Kaye Henning.
