NY Times "Dealbook" item on Richard Cordray, the former attorney general of Ohio, nominated to lead the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau... and also successful game show contestant:

President Obama, in a press conference announcing his nomination to the watchdog’s top spot, brought up what is perhaps Mr. Cordray’s quirkiest qualification for the job: he is a five-time Jeopardy! champion. President Obama praised the nominee’s record on the game show, calling it “not too shabby.”

Cordray's appearance on Jeopardy! was in 1987 when five wins was the limit.  He appeared on the Tournament of Champions as well, winning a first round contest.

When Cordray successfully ran for Ohio Treasurer in '07, one of the items he gave away to voters were DVD copies of his Jeopardy! appearances.  I'd rather have that than a "Cordray for Treasurer" button.
