Title: wof puzzle board displays in HD?
Post by: bradhig on April 15, 2011, 11:53:37 PM: Are the monitors on the Wheel of Fortune puzzle board HD displays or are they analog displays? I notice a reflection off some of the bottom displays suggesting they are not LCD displays but I was lead to believe they put HD displays in when the gold border was replaced by the lighted blue border.

I'm probably mistaken in my belief, but you do understand that a TV doesn't have to be LCD to be HD, right?

I thought it had to be LCD or plasma.

They switched to flat panels, I believe in 2007, the same time they upgraded the contestant podiums as well.

I know, it's hard to tell the difference until you see the board close up.

I don't know about you, but I just can't look at the letter Q in standard def anymore.
