NBC has green-lit eight episodes of a new trivia game show tentatively titled "Still Standing." Based on an Israeli format, the show is essentially an 11-player version of GSN's "Russian Roulette" where the winner could win up to $1 million.

"Competitive alternative series". Now I've f'in heard it all.

Considering how far down the food chain NBC is compared to the other 3 networks nowadays, they're doing anything they can to attract any audience -- including coming up with new words to describe shows.
/Just like how a "Competitive Alternative Series" could also describe scab-player NFL games during the last strike in 1986.

There was a promo for this during Sunday's episode of "Minute To Win It", well a casting call for it.

Anything that's described on TV these days as "extreme" is an immediate turnoff to me..(just saying)
