Game show host Drew Carey (guest-voicing as himself) congratulates Peter as the top winner in the all-new episode "New Kidney In Town" airing SUN 1/9 at 9/8c.

Perhaps one of the only things I can praise Family Guy for is the constant, accurate game show references. I've just never been a fan of FG in general.

Isn't this like the fourth time they've used Price?

That Peter Griffin sure gets around...he's been on Jeopardy, Survivor, Wheel, Feud, now this. ;-)
Wait a minute...he's gotta be in violation of some eligibility requirements!

Shenanigans! In "The Fat Guy Strangler" the male contestant didnt call the female contestant "a**hole", he said "F*** you".
One can't help being picky in the intersection of Family Guy and gameshows.
\Pow! Right in the kisser!

Fifth at least...I can remember "Oh, just die already," falling out of the Survivor set, swearing in Contestants' Row, and the vacation at Cliff Hangers.

Prince was also in contestant's row...so this is the sixth?

And at least one Match Game reference
-
So far, they've referenced The Price is Right, Wheel Of Fortune, Jeopardy!, Press Your Luck, Match Game, Pyramid, and Family Feud, AFAIK.

The aforementioned Password, one with Newlywed and Dating Games, and probably my favorite game show parody, Hollywood Squares.

And Deal or No Deal, on Blue Harvest.
-
I'm personally hoping for a Love Connection parody where Meg gets 0%.
-
Ironic that lovelorn Meg is voiced by the ultra-lovely Mila Kunis.

QFT.
Anyone see Black Swan? Is it worth it sitting through the movie to see her and Natalie Portman making out?
ObGameShow: In the episode "Da Boom," Peter and his family is confronted by a band of highway warriors who force him to answer "Name something you take on a picnic," a la Family Feud.

Black Swan was very, very good. Very mind-bending, very dramatic, and a much better movie than I thought it would be. And yes, it's worth it to see Mila and Natalie lezzing out. (Making out is the least of those passions, mind you.)

Weird to think that any of the kids from That 70s Show would end up with an Oscar nomination (Kunis is supposedly a shoe-in). Kutcher, of course, was tragically overlooked for his outstanding work in Dude, Where's My Car?
-
Kutcher may only be the second-most typecast member of the cast. Every time Kurtwood Smith's character showed up on 24, I expected him to call Jack Bauer a dumbass.

In case anyone missed it, catch it here as fast as you can:

Black Swan got the nod though, yes? You were close.

Oh sure, and Kunis was at the top of all the stories about who got snubbed today. It was a surprising omission. The people who obsess over such things say that "her" nommination probably went to the young lady from True Grit, whose people pushed her in the less-competitive Supporting category even though she clearly had a lead role.
-
The spoiler here was probably Jacki Warner from "Animal Kingdom". The four others were more or less locks including both women from "The Fighter".
