1) Tim Allen is not gonna do a Feud gig.
2) Richard Karn is the host.
That means if you got Patricia Richardson, two of the three kids ('cuz I don't see you getting Jonathan Taylor Thomas, either) and the guy who plays Wilson (which could be funny if you could hack out a way to shoot it so his face was always partially obscured, but completely ruins the mystique otherwise) you're still short a player. What's Debbe Dunning doing these days? And even with her, do you really consider that a strong lineup, representative of the show? Me neither.

You do realize that Home Improvement has been off the air for several years, don't you?

Didn't Leave It to Beaver field a team for a Classic TV week during the Dawson era? To my way of thinking, it would more likely be a Standards & Practices issue. (Maybe not, since it's a charity.)
Pretend for the moment that the Tim and JTT can be persuaded. A special less subject to accusations would be something akin to the Love Boat Mutiny special. One team would include Tim Allen, another HI cast member and some people who appeared in Tim's movies. The other would include JTT, another HI cast member and some people who appeared in JTT's movies.

Sometimes the low-tech solutions work best. The producers made Earl Hindman a tiny, hand-held picket fence to hold up to his face when he took his curtain call at tapings, and when he would do publicity interviews.

Patricia Richardson would also want to distance herself from that show. I've read that Patricia disliked Home Improvement being primarily slapstick, and felt that Tim and Jill should have more tension in their relationship. They did show Earl Hindman's (Wilson) face during the final bows (there was talk about revealing his face during the show, but it was ultimately decided to save that for the bows) and IMO he looked pretty much what I expected him to look like.
As for the Love Boat cast, I have a feeling any one of them wouldn't mind being in the limelight again.
-
The ultimate Home Improvement/Family Feud episodes would be a charity week pitting Home Improvement alumni against Bob Villa, and some of the cable home improvement show celebs (Hometime/Trading Spaces/etc)...
...Alas, an idea that would never come to fruition.

Well, you did have the Tim Allen look-alike from celebrity look-alikes week. That's about the closest you'll see to having him on the show.

I'm still waiting for someone named Tim to go on the show and give a reallllly dumb answer, so Richard can say...
...altogether now...
I don't think so, Tim!
