For Drew to stand next to to take a publicity photo, I'm guessing.

I think they call it "decoration" in some parts of the world.

Omg - he's lost a lot of weight.

It almost doesn't look like the same person.

I know just about to say the same thing. Looks great. Mind you i havent watched TPIR in years even the last few years when Bob was hosting. But some of those shots with the glasses, he really looks a bit like Cullen. Anyone else see that?

People have been saying that about Drew for years.

At least, the ones who don't automatically hate him for being OMG NOT BARKER.

I looked at the slideshow of pictures (and yes, he's lost a ton of weight), and I couldn't help but to chuckle at one of the ads that hovered over the bottom of the pictures, almost like a caption:

He looks like Denis Leary. Wearing Bob Barker's old suits.

That was a season premiere?  Sure didn't feel like it.  Random thoughts:

* Any hope for the day's excitement abruptly ended by starting with "Switch?".

* The Grocery Game was pleasant enough with the powder theme-did anyone notice the problematic 7 in the cents position on the display?  Time to get a self check out scanner for the game... or let the model scan the things...

* Wife thought the one girl's shout out to the conservative talk show hosts at the Big Wheel was funny, I thought it was asinine.  Her mom and dad must be so proud (I said "couldn't she acknowledge someone in her family or a friend" and wife said "maybe her whole family is a bunch of ass holes?")

* "That's Too Much"... I think I've seen the game won once-what's the win rate on that?  And, more interestingly, does anyone have a distribution for the placement of the 'right price' on the sequence of 10?  I'm guessing it averages around the 7th spot?

* More or Less: Michael C. Fina = less than $400?  You earned that loss man!

Won't be DVRing the show again unless otherwise alerted on this list.

I don't think it really averages around anywhere, although this season, it was 2nd or 9th an inordinate amount of the time.

Well, it has to average somewhere.  The average may or may not be a useful statistic, but it's an easily ascertainable number.

Okay, lemme rephrase that:  I don't think they aim for a particular average.

(Honestly, I could go to Scorpz's site (http://\"http://tpirsummaries.8m.com\") and figure it out in probably less than 10 minutes, but I'm feeling lazy tonight.)

Ahhh... my DVR said it was a new episode.  Thanks for the correction.  I'll DVR next Monday-I appreciate the information!

Just wondering, bimodal or not,  on "That's Too Much" if knowledge of the distribution would lead to any better chance of winning, since it sure appears that P(winning value) is not equal across all prices.  Also wondering if the jump between consecutive prices is any help either.

With those numbers, the average is 5.27, which is obviously not all that useful.

Random observation:  In the Drew era, the game has never been won when the correct price is sixth.  Makes you wonder why they don't put it there more often.

True, but the correct price placement at #6 has only happened once in three years. More interesting that the game has not been won when the price is placed either at #2 or #9, which has happened a collective total of 25 times (29%).

I'd swear I remember one contestant winning at the second price, mainly because I couldn't believe someone actually stopped that early.

(Apparently not, though.  So what am I thinking of?)

You're not crazy - I remember it too and was equally shocked.
