Okay, here's a hypothetical situation: Price decides to retire Golden Road, but doesn't want to create a new "luxury prize" game to replace it. What game do you take out of its regular rotation to be used as the new "Golden Road"?

Gas Money.
-
Plinko.
(Just because I hate Plinko and wouldn't mind if it were played far less often.)

(That said, I quite liked it when Golden Road/Triple Play/Three Strikes/week off was the pattern.)

They'd revive Walk of Fame and call it "The New Golden Road", then after awhile they'll dump "The New" from the title, and people will forget the old one even existed..

Temptation.
Maybe Five Price Tags, but you'd probably have to bump the SP's up to Temptation-level gifts.
-
Temptation's a good choice- I hadn't even thought of that one.
I was thinking Ten Chances, cause at the very least, you could keep the GR spiel about "You win this prize, then you move on....etc."

(Even) More or Less.

"Temptation" wouldn't be bad if they redid the board, this time making it attractive. Somehow they took the ugliest game they have and made it worse. It would help if they made it possible to win.

Temptation was never meant to have an attractive color scheme. It went from Hulk Vomit to Pepto Bismol to Persian Nightclub/Tacky Vegas strip Club.

And what's the deal with "More or Less"? Why isn't the choice higher or lower as in every game like it? Did they think changing the words makes it feel different? I've thought they could call the game "Winning Streak," giving them another pricing game with the name of a game show that came and went during TPIR's run.
While we're at it, if they're refurbishing boring ol' Bonus Game, they could make it the $5,000 Bonus Game replacing the big prize. Maybe the four small prizes could go into the hundreds.

Oh, now I get it! :-) (I actually liked Hulk Vomit, in a 70s Irish sort of way.)

I'd say Temptation, as well. Considering how hard it is to win, and the high-level gifts they've been offering, it would be a cinch.

Until it shows back up in repeats 21 years later.

Wouldn't be the only time. Heck, It's In The Bag was once the name of a game show.

Yeah, cause then TPiR will be 90 minutes long, but they need to make room for their new hour-long revival of the Pilsbury Bake-Off.
