This article says Vernon Kay of Britain's Family Fortunes and The Whole 19 Yds. is going to host it.

ABC is the new "BBC America".

A logic based game on ABC? The same network that's bringing us Downfall? Seriously, how are they gonna manage to incorporate a logic based game to us without resorting to comedy routines & the like? If Vernon Kay makes the Whole 19 Yards work over there, then he should have no trouble doing the same here. I just don't see this as a "logical" fit for ABC. PBS may be better suited for that sort of stuff(either that or Onky Connect).

Looks like Jack Barry's son Jon is an E.P.

The way they describe it, it sounds like it could be unique and interesting. But they're sure not helping matters having an anonymous guy with an accent host. Maybe to sink their chances further, they'll have him sing the opening, as on "My Kind of Town."

I guess nobody remembers that NBC flop he hosted a few years back.

I guess you'll just have to wait for the show to premiere...

He also worked on PAX's On the Cover a few years ago...I think he was an EP there as well...

No wonder the game board reminded me so much of TJW. I was at a pilot taping of that show with Ken Ober just days before 9/11/2001. Man, what a Snore that show was, with a capital "S".
-
Wasn't this the show where a wheel is spun, and a Sphinx-ish riddle is asked to the group? I would swear that this was referenced/brought up/piloted some months ago.

Yeah, it was brought up when it was piloted.
This comes from the same country that initially turned Wheel of Fortune into a slow-paced lounge-ish experience with only 40 colors of light as opposed to our 1.4 million.

Check out Buzzerblog....they're going to be casting the show soon for taping in July (I called the hotline), and the show has been named Six Minds. They're asking for groups of six who know one another....so this'll be a no-brainer for those who are on College Bowl/trivia teams.

Yep, we called (http://\"http://gameshows.about.com/b/2010/05/20/new-casting-call-abcs-six-minds.htm\") the hotline and verified that, unlike the original version, the contestants in America should know each other and be part of a sort of team or club as it is. An interesting variant on strangers, should be fun to see how those who already know each other cope and work.
