Title: Another "when did it start"
Post by: Neumms on February 21, 2010, 01:08:04 PM
What was the first game with extensive use of chaser lights? Hollywood Squares had flashing ones, I suppose, but the other NBC games of its era didn't and looked pretty sedate. Was it the three CBS games, Joker, TPIR and Gambit?

Yup. TPIR (still TNPIR?) moved to afternoons to make room for it.

You might want to consider the syndicated The Movie Game as well - there may have been chaser lights in the opening credits, since it's the sort of thing you might associate with movie theater marquees.

That's the oldest one I can think of, too!
