Title: 5th Grader Air Schedule
Post by: Gus on September 11, 2009, 09:44:31 AM
Since I've seen people here wondering when the primary-run markets will first see the double-run shows, here's the full current air schedule. I'm only listing the Monday of each week; within each week, the numbers are consecutive. It may change between now and the end of the season, since I see two weeks that are scheduled to air in secondary but not primary, which may be a mistake.

Primary listed first, then secondary; premieres are in boldface, primary-market premieres are in blue boldface, secondary-only weeks are in red.

Title: 5th Grader Air Schedule
Post by: Matt Ottinger on September 11, 2009, 11:51:28 AM
I think this is the first time we've seen a schedule like this posted.  Thanks, Gus.
secondary-only weeks are in red.
So there are two weeks of shows that the "primary" market won't see?  Doesn't sound very 'primary' to me.

Meanwhile, in double-run markets, people are starting to see reruns after just three weeks.  Amazing.

I know. Deal or No Deal's first-season schedule did it nicely, IMO. Of course, they didn't send out the entire schedule at the top of the season, they only sent a month or two at a time.

("Primary market" was a misnomer. Single-run and double-run markets; primary and secondary episodes. There.)

Is this also the schedule for the episodes listed for CMTV (listed at 8 & 8:30 PM and again at midnight & 12:30 AM)?

Looks like CMT is in the same boat. Bucky Convington on the Celeb. version was on this week, and it will be on at 830 next week. They better do a little shakeup on the schedule on CMT, being in primetime, for sure.

And what about MyNetwork TV?  I see they are starting a 2-hour game show block on Tuesday nights -- 5th Grader at 8 and 8:30, followed by Deal at 9 and 9:30.

Good luck on getting it at that time on My, many of the affiliates are also secondary with "This TV", and run films from that network in the slot. I think MyNetwork is pretty much a done deal. Even Ion seems to be kicking their butt.

/Wouldn't be surprised if Ion picks up 5th grader in reruns after season 1 is over with

According to today's Wrestling Observer online, the MyNet debut of "5th Grader" will feature WWE wrestlers John Morrison and Mike "The Miz" Mizanin as contestants...

I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt that you may have slightly misread my previous post.  MyNetwork is not the same group as "Me", "Me Too". "This", and the forthcoming "That".  MyNetwork TV was created a few years ago to fill the programming void left when The WB and UPN merged.  Granted, most stations broadcast it on a secondary channel, but there are stations that broadcast only MyNetwork as a primary channel.  It's mainly a terrestrial broadcast network only even smaller than the CW.

EDIT:  The WCIU channel group, including Me, Me Too, etc., still isn't available all over the country yet and can't be received on either Dish Network or Direct TV.

That's one of the sucky things about those nice niche subchannels...only way to get most of them is OTA.  Can get This because it's a strong enough signal locally but RTN forget about it.

Bumping this thread to ask if anyone knows when the "Sesame Street" week will be rerun in the single run markets. According to the schedule at the beginning of this thread, it looks like it will be reran in August. Anyone know if this has changed?

Thanks,

Does anyone have the 5th grader air schedule for the 2010/11 broadcast season? last years was very helpful.

It hasn't been issued yet; I'll post it as soon as I get it.

Also, the Sesame Street week is this week, Josh.
