I saw here that they are casting.

Does this mean it might come back?

Not necessarily...

NBC still has a vested interest in the show, since they (with Universal) are in charge of the daytime edition. So, they could be doing this as a goodwill to Howie and company.

As always, I can be wrong.

The Rhode Island casting call is necessitated by the production's move to Connecticut for the new season. This is for syndication, not network. DOND network is done.
