After watching the Armed Forces episode on the 3rd of July, I noticed that during the commercials, there didn't seem to be as many "senior sponsors" (insurance ads, prescription drugs, rascal scooters, diabeat-us supplies, etc...) as there once was. Twizzlers candy had 2 spots as I recall -- not really a senior "gotta have it" product.
Has the target audience pendulum of sponsors started to move toward the younger demos? Or is it because of the holidays and/or rerun season that the "traditional sponsors" of the last several years pull back on the number of ads?

I don't know about Price specifically, but on radio, the direct-response ads generally don't run on holidays. Because July 3 this year was considered a holiday, no operators would be standing by to take orders.

There was also a hold on Direct Response ads due to the death of Billy Mays as well.
