Post by: Jamey Greek on May 03, 2009, 08:09:41 PM
Does anyone know who distributed Jackpot! 1989?  I read one ATGS post and it said that Palladium Entertainment distributed it.  I also read that syndicast distributed it?  Does anyone know?

I was wondering about that too -- according to Wikipedia (take with grain of salt), Syndicast carried the show and went bust. However, I thought I read in one of the trades that Palladium carried the show before going bankrupt.

Enquiring minds want to know.

I believe that Reeves Entertainment Group also distributed the show.

What makes you think that?  Reeves Entertainment was alive and they did not go broke.

It was a joint production between BASADA and Reeves, w/Palladium handling distribution.

And Palladium was the one that went bust, right?

I called the production company around January 1990 to see if they were looking for contestants (I went out to LA on business the following month, and hey, might as well be on a game show and pick up a few hundred bucks along the way, right?), but I was told it was unlikely they'd be in production by that point.
