Tonight, Harry Lillis Crosby recounts the old chime that used to mark the top of the hour on CBS radio and television on "BING!" at 8, 7 central....ohhhhn CBS!

Ditto that for 1070/KNX-AM the West Coast CBS Radio News Flagship, "From the CBS Broadcast Center on the Miracle Mile"

/ObGameshows:  Larry Van Nuys, who anchors the evening reports on KNX, was the announcer for Patrick Wayne's TTD.

The CBS "ping" (as I prefer) is still heard on the radio network every hour before the news and that poor excuse for a sounder.
