When the search for the next Price host was going on, my favorite candidate was John O'Hurley. I thought his manner of hosting would be perfect for the show.
And now that I think of it, Drew Carey, being a stand-up comedian, would be a great host for Family Feud. He could inject a great deal of humor into the game, which I believe is what makes a great Feud host like Dawson and Combs.
Do you think these two gentlemen would be better suited hosting each other's shows?

Drew could do Feud but my skin crawls at the thought of O'Hurley Price.
...screw it, Slumdog is a better answer.

Referring to the original post I think Drew would be better for the 'Feud' and John is ideal for either job.

I don't think it'd matter too much. Burton was fine when he subbed on Price, and you don't hear the announcer on Feud all that much anyway.

So I guess I'm not the only person who thinks he hosts as if he's in a Shakespearian tragedy.
It did work on TTTT though...

SERIOUS ANSWER:
It's kinda difficult to see Carey and O'Hurley switch roles, only because they've been on their respective shows for two and three seasons, and have both added their own hosting styles to the show. However, I'm inclined to say it would be easier for Drew, given the comedy background, as somebody else mentioned.
They could do the April Fools switch like Pat and Alex did way back when, but Price and Feud a) aren't truly companion shows, and b) don't usually air in tandem in 90% of the country...so it might throw some viewers off. If this were 20 years ago, when both shows aired on CBS, I'd say "Sure!"
JOKE ANSWER:
Lots of love.

In 2 & 2!
Seriously, John O'Hurley on Price probably wouldn't work because at his age, he might easily get upset if a contestant messes up a pricing game or an IUFB. Drew, OTOH, could conceivibly work on Feud since his Whose Line Is It Anyways gigs will certainly work to his advantage. Therefore, I'm split on the switch.
-
I think both gentlemen were born during the Eisenhower administration (as was I), so there's not that much difference in age.
There are a couple of factors which might present a problem. First, O'Hurley's committment to "Spamalot" might get in the way of Price tapings and second, John had auditioned for the hosting job a couple of years ago and didn't get it for one reason or another.

Come on over and FACE THE DEVIL!
Now, to the topic at hand. I like Drew, but imagine what would happen if someone won the fast money. Think back to that "perfect showcase bid."
Drew: (calmly) Survey says: 27. You won $20,000. We'll see you next time on the Feud.

Indeed they were. John was born in 1954 and Drew in 1958.

I have to say, I had for years said John would be the right guy. But I don't know, somewhere down the line I realized....Price wasn't for him. Feud yes, Price...no. Drew on Feud? He might do ok. But he's a terrible TPIR host (this after defending him all this time).
