I think I'm flying to Boston that weekend.  (As some of you know, my wife's teaching at Harvard this year, so she and my son are living in Cambridge, while I'm still in suburban Chicagoland.)  Otherwise, I'd probably go.

I might head to Vegas that weekend, otherwise, I'd gladly go.

RATS! That's three days after my wife's hip surgery! Oh well, maybe next lifetime.

So close, yet so far away. =\ And to think, I've nearly spoken to this woman two times, and yet another chance will elude me.

Oh man...just a fairly short hop from NY, but I traveled to Michigan last wknd to be w/my woman for V-Day, and since the Sat ON shift I normally work comprises the bulk of my paycheck, not to mention this event is so close to that last trip, will have to pass.

Does anyone know of the specifics of the event?  Is it just you're in Betty's presence, or would she be receiving guests at the end?

Just curious... kind of pondering a road trip, that's all.

Cheers

Ryan :)

There'll be a Q&A session after the main part of the program but not time for individual meet 'n' greets.

Rather than creating a different thread that says "Of interest to Betty White fans..."

Last night's Oscar ceremony featured an ad for the upcoming Sandra Bullock romantic comedy The Proposal, an ad which prominently featured Betty in what will be her first major film role in several years.

A peek at IMDB shows an intriguing supporting cast that includes Niecy Nash (Reno 911), Aasif Mandvi (The Daily Show) and GS-friendly Oscar Nunez (The Office).

Additional information for those who aren't in Chicagoland:  Betty will also be Dean Richards' guest on his Sunday morning WGN radio show (http://\"http://www.wgnradio.com/index.php?Itemid=262&id=147&option=com_content&task=blogcategory\").

Show starts are 9:00 AM Central.  I don't know if the time indicated will be when she's actually on (I kind of doubt it, but who knows?).  WGN feeds through the internet, so anyone can listen.  It's likely he'll take a few calls as well.  (If he's offering prizes at all, go for the Lou Malnati's gift certificate if you're local, the Lobstergram if not.)

Better than Giordano's, I thought.  Went to Lou Malnati's and Portillo's in January-good stuff!  I'll bring a cooler next time to bring some back to Nebraska...
