Always a good time taking part with Stu - Ron and Geoff, thanks for the conversation!

I just now talked to Ron about his hiring Jim Peck for The Big Showdown. I also mentioned my Jackpot fanpage to Geoff.
Cordially,
Tammy

Just got on myself. By the way, they're not screening calls -- once you get through, you're on live. If they don't answer the phone right away, it'll disconnect -- it took me awhile to realize it wasn't my cell phone.

So that's it! I thought they saw my name on their Caller ID and didn't want to deal with me.
Those two hours flew by, didn't they?
Would've loved to have been at that lunch table earlier today to hear the tales of Jack Barry and a few other things.

Not the first time. Won't be the last. I think I've told before the story that Bob Boden, whom I'd visited at his home several times, greeted me as "Steve" at the last GSC.
I guess I'll have to catch a rerun to find the context. I'm sorry I missed it, but I had to work.

I mean, one of you is a game show buff with roots the mid-south who has an affinity for broadcasting, production and associations with universities. And the other is Matt Ottinger!

You forgot the hairlessness.

I didn't want to go there. ;)

Matt, Tammy, Curt, thanks for your good questions. The best line of the day had to be Geoff's observation: "Barack Obama promised change, and that's all I have left...change." Geoff remains one of the funniest guys in this business.
Those who didn't listen, should. Steve B. will return on Feb. 25.
/damn, I feel like Evanier, shilling for Stu like this

Something about there sometimes being extra devils on the wheels on The Joker's Wild.
Stu thought one of the two of you might have been the source of this information.

I've been privileged enough to have had one of those lunches with Ron G. It's not just an education in game show history, it's an education in TV history. Really fascinating.

Having previously known that there are 24 slides in each spinning projector, my deduction is that there are four of each dollar value ($25-$200) randomly slotted in two of the projectors. In the third (in which the window is randomly chosen), there are three of each dollar value and six devils.
In the main game, my guess is that three of each category (there were five in every game) and nine Jokers were slotted in each projector.
If Ron Greenberg is reading this, I want to thank you for a great job in producing the greatest game shows of the late 70's and early 80's. If there was a game show I would have loved to been a contestant was either 'The Joker's Wild' or 'Tic Tac Dough'.

I know that in the show, Ron had mentioned that he was still "working on some projects", to which I read as pilots. I don't know which, if any, are game shows, but I certainly wish him the best of luck.
And to all of you budding game show hosts or writers, his policy is if you want to try out for one of his shows, be sure you have your day planner with you, as he'll probably tell you to come see him. If it worked for Jim Peck,...
